In this episode of In Class With Carr, Dr. Greg Carr and Karen Hunter discuss the election results across the United States.

The wins reflect a broader global trend of public backlash against inequality and government corruption and signal voter frustration with deepening economic and social divides, as well as growing opposition to policies associated with the Trump administration. That administration has advanced a series of hard-right priorities long supported by wealthy donors, conservative think tanks and extremist groups, while relying on voter mobilization fueled by racial and cultural resentment.

Similar movements have recently emerged in Tanzania, Madagascar, Bangladesh and Nepal, where protests and uprisings have sparked political upheaval or threatened to do so.

Watch Carr and Hunter break it all down in the clip below.
