The Hub Entertainment Watch List: Caught in the Act: Unfaithful

You might be familiar with the name Tami Roman from her epic showdowns on the reality television show, Basketball Wives, but now she’s taking on a new role. The reality star will now help people determine if their partner is cheating on them as the host of Caught in the Act: Unfaithful.

The series first debuted on VH1 in 2022 and has returned for a second season on a new network, MTV. Season one launched with six episodes and six unique cases to be investigated by her team which includes a private investigator and relationship expert. Brianne Joseph served as the P.I. of the team and is the owner of Sly Fox Investigations, an all-female detective agency. She has been licensed for 15 years. Kevin Carr served as the relationship guru for the first season. Carr is a relationship expert, author and television personality with over a decade of experience helping singles navigate dating and create healthy connections.

The series kicked off with an introduction to a woman named Tracy, whose boyfriend of two years began to act differently towards her, causing her to seek the help of Tami and her team. From there viewers are introduced to Naima and David, Marlo and Corey, Jessica and Walter,  Gierra and Shay and Nico and Leighann. Season one was full of plot twists which were clearly enjoyed by fans as the show has returned for season two.

Season two premiered on MTV on July 11 and viewers likely noticed that there has been a switch-up with Tami’s team. Her team includes new faces – DJ Envy and Coach Ken Canion – who are both serving as relationship gurus. Many people know DJ Envy as a co-host on the nationally syndicated radio morning show, The Breakfast Club. Now he’s using his voice to help couples navigate their relationships and in 2022, he and his wife released their book “Real Life, Real Love: Life Lessons on Joy, Pain & the Magic That Holds Us Together.” Fellow relationship coach, Ken Canion, is a relationship and personal development expert with 14 years of experience and eight books published.

Interested viewers can catch up on season one by going to the MTV site or using the app. Season two episodes air on Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
