The Watermelon Has Been Around for Thousands of Years
People have been eating watermelons for millennia. Archaeologists have found watermelon seeds at a 5,000-year-old settlement in Libya. Paintings of watermelons also have been discovered in King Tut’s tomb, as well as other Egyptian tombs built more than 4,000 years ago.
