President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to sign a historic flurry of executive orders on his first day back in office. At Sunday’s “Victory Rally” in Washington, D.C., Trump told supporters that he plans to move with “historic speed and strength” immediately after taking the oath of office.

“We’re putting America first, and it all starts tomorrow,” Trump declared to the audience.

Expected to sign over 200 executive actions, the measures include legally binding executive orders and other directives, such as proclamations.

Trump’s orders aim to reverse key Biden administration policies, as he did during the first days of his first office term. These include boosting billionaire Elon Musk’s interest by ramping up artificial intelligence programs, creating a “Department of Government Efficiency” (Doge) and implementing a missile defense system known as the Iron Dome.

Other controversial measures include eradicating diversity, equity and inclusion policies in the military and barring transgender women from participating in female sports categories. Trump also pledged to return control of education to individual states, a move he says will give parents more authority over their children’s futures.

He also hinted at potential pardons for individuals convicted of participating in the Jan. 6 riots, calling them “hostages” and assuring his MAGA base they would be “very happy” with his decisions.

Immigration fears have skyrocketed since Trump’s election victory, with Chicago set to become “ground zero” for the beginning of mass deportations nationwide. However, experts warn that mass deportation plans face significant logistical and financial challenges.

The inaugural ceremony, relocated indoors due to freezing temperatures and snow, will mark the start of a presidency that Trump claims will echo the lessons he’s learned since leaving office in 2021.

Celebrating US from one end of the land to the other. We record our acts, our accomplishments, our sufferings, and our temporary defeats throughout the diaspora. We bring content that is both unique and focused on showing the world our best. Unapologetically.
