The Hub: You made your NBA debut in October against the Suns, becoming the second Japanese-born man to ever play in a game. What was going through your head the moment you stepped onto the court?
Watanabe: That was a great moment. But when I stepped on the court, I didn’t really feel anything special. After the game, I had a lot of people call and text me to say “congrats.” I called my parents right after the game and they were so happy about it. So, that was a special day.
