2. Ayton was the Pac-12 Player of the Year
The 7-foot center was dominant in his only year in Tucson. Ayton averaged around 20 points and 11 rebounds per game and led the nation in double-doubles with 24, and was a consensus First Team All-American. Over the last 25 years, Ayton is one of only six players averaged at least 20 points and 10 rebounds as a freshman in college. He also set freshman school records for the most points, rebounds, blocks and field goal percentage.
