With the holiday season already underway, people around the globe have already begun their gift shopping.

For those who still need ideas, here are five Black-owned health and wellness companies to buy from.

    1. Movita Organics: Founded by entrepreneur Tonya Lewis Lee in 2015, Movita Organics is a health and wellness company that focuses on providing women with organic supplemental vitamins. Lewis Lee initially started the company because of her work as a women’s health advocate and as a writer for her health platform HealthyYouNow.com. Available on Amazon, her products include the Motiva Organics One-A-Day Multivitamin and the Movita GPM Process.

    1. Sacred Vibes Apothecary: Located in Brooklyn, Sacred Vibes Apothecary is a community project that focuses on the spiritual and healing properties of plants. The company offers customers the chance to gain basic knowledge about the topic. Sacred Vibes Apothecary offers a workshop taught by the founder and Master Herbalist with knowledge about both Eastern and Western Herbal Medicine, Karen M. Rose. Some of the products available at the shop are the store’s Love Tea, Congestion & Cough Syrup and Liver Detoxifier & Rejuvenator. Proces vary from $25 to $180 for packages.

    1. FLYEST: Founded by herbalist Shanae Jones, this company, formerly known as Ivy’s Tea Co., focuses on selling teas made from organic plants sourced directly from smaller herb farms. FLYEST emphasizes plant medicine’s role in choosing what their tea blends consist of in order to reach audiences about the effectiveness of plant medicine using hip-hop as a learning method. Since its conception, the company has grown in popularity, joining H&M’s Buy from a Black Woman Holiday Market this year. Products available include raw organic wildflower honey with herbs and spices, Blood Orange Tea and their Breathe package featuring equipment for those with nasal issues made directly from herbs.

    1. Bifties Gifts: Founded by entrepreneur Constance Panton in 2016, Bifties Gifts initially began as part of a Secret Santa exchange with one requirement- all of the gifts need to come from a BIPOC company. Inspired by the lack of companies to purchase from when going about with the Secret Santa Exchange, Panton began her company to create a hub where people can easily find Black-owned companies to buy from. While the site sells a variety of objects from cards to candles, their health products include the Balance My Stress Adaptogen Blend and the Gavin Luxe Facial Steam. For those who don’t know what to purchase, the company also offers curated gift boxes.

Prices for products range from $15 to $77 and up.
